Home Ec. is a vintage housewares and furnishings store located at 3327 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR. It was started in November of 2000 by Buttercup & Blackie, fulfilling Buttercup's lifelong dream of owning her own retro shop.What sets Home Ec. apart from other vintage stores is our diverse selection of goods. Instead of focusing on just one area or item (i.e. furniture) we offer everything from cups, glasses and dishes to dining tables, sofas, chairs, stereos, small appliances, cookware, art, pin-ups, vintage iron-ons, records, barware, retro candies and soft drinks, and a myriad of other items from the 50's - 70's as well as being the only store on town offering a wide range of Tiki mugs and related items.
